hello marky fans,
i wanted to speak on something that has been bugging me.
Keys to the city is a program i started on imeem to promote differnt hip hop scenes throughout the country. it just started and wale was the first artist to be a part of it. which was an honor because i'v been a fan for about 18 months.
He came in a few months ago as a favor and I was like yo, im doing this thing on dc and I want you to present it. So choose 10 artists you dig and it will be like your the guest editor. So he did.
To add another element to the promotion I asked illroots to make me a playlist. So they did. I forgot in the rush to get the program up, to tell josh which artists wale chose to talk about that day.
So I took off all the artists that werent mentioned that day to keep the consitency and integrity of the program and the artist who did me a solid by participating in it.
so this misunderstanding has led to some misunderstandings that i regret to have caused between two people i don't even know.
before this new song came out, i featured marky on the music page and helped get his page up to par because i think that song sheila is dope and i listen to what i like. but it doesnt seem like marky likes imeem much, which sucks cuz i got nothing but respect for any artist who works hard to promote themselves. i wish that same respect was reciprocated.
This is unfortunate, and I wish instead of making a song like this marky would just call me to ask me what happened rather than talk about it in a song.
Will
